Metal Welding Workshop — An Introduction to the Art of Metalwork
Have you ever been curious about what it feels like to work with metal? This workshop is your invitation to find out. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone with a creative background looking to experiment with a new medium, this is a hands-on, immersive experience guided every step of the way.
Over five hours, you'll move through the full arc of the metalworking process — from an initial guidance session on tools and techniques, to choosing the approach that suits your vision, to the slow, satisfying work of actually building your piece. Your instructor will be present and by your side throughout the entire session, so you'll never feel lost or unsupported.
By the end of the day, you'll have created one finished metal work of your own — whether that's a sculptural frame, a candlestick, a hanger, a door knob, or a cabinet knob — shaped by your own hands and your own creative instincts.
All protective equipment is provided, including gloves, a mask, protective glasses, and an apron. However, for your safety, please arrive wearing the following:
- Footwear: Blundstones or any thick, closed protective shoes — no sneakers or sandals
- Clothing: Thick, non-cotton clothes — jeans and a thick long-sleeved shirt are strongly recommended
- Hair: Must be fully tied up
Your finished piece can be taken home the same day if unpainted. If painted on-site, it will be ready for collection within one to three days.
